VIOLENT ENCOUNTER AVOIDANCE -SEMINAR

Phoenix Police Lieutenant and Officer John Monigan offer a seminar on Violent Encounter Avoidance. This is a 1-2 hour seminar (depending on the desires and needs of the client) focusing on things we can do to lessen our likelihood of becoming victims of violent crime. This seminar is offered to men and women of all ages, nationwide.
Depending on the time allotted, this seminar provides information on:
- How NOT to become a victim of violent crime.
- The law and defending yourself and/or a third person (based on the Arizona Revised Statutes).
- The pros and cons of carrying weapons to defend yourself.
- Abduction precautions.
- Travel safety tips.
- Where and how to hit an attacker (demonstration and discussion).
- Some basic moves to defend yourself (demonstration and discussion).
Lieutenant MacConnell and Officer Monigan have been teaching defensive tactics at the Arizona Law Enforcement Academy for a combined 9 years. Officer Monigan has studied Muay Thai kick boxing for seventeen years. Jacqui has studied a variety of martial arts since 1985. Lieutenant MacConnell and Officer Monigan work with victims of every crime you can imagine every day. They see the effects of violent crime as part of their jobs. They use this experience combined with their martial arts backgrounds to provide information that will make you and your employees safer.
