Phoenix Police Lieutenant Jacqui MacConnell and Officer John Monigan are taking the opportunity to use their experiences in law enforcement to your advantage. Having worked with many victims of a variety of violent crimes and having talked to the suspects of those crimes, Lieutenant MacConnell and Officer Monigan have put together an informative seminar for men, women and children that is designed to teach the students habits and tips that will make them less likely to be victims of violent crime. (Violent Encounter Avoidance) This seminar is offered nationwide.

They have also used their backgrounds in martial arts to design a hands-on workshop for women and girls (Violent Encounter Avoidance and Response). This is offered in the Phoenix metropolitan area only.

Both the seminar and the workshop are excellent training for mothers and daughters to attend together! Former students say that this experience helped open up a very healthy dialogue about an often-difficult subject.

Informative seminars are also offered to senior citizens, focusing on the crimes that are effecting our senior citizen population today.
